Matthew: The King and His Kingdom

Matthew wrote his gospel to give us a clear picture of Jesus Christ, the long-awaited Messiah. In in his gospel, the Holy Spirit gives Matthew (a former, hated tax collector and "sinner") 3 tasks to accomplish: to introduce a new book (connecting the Old and New Testaments), to introduce a new King (Jesus Christ), and to introduce a new PEOPLE (the Church).
